You might have dreamt about medical colleges or aspired to have become a doctor. It may be the persona a doctor carries or the will to heal. But how exactly is it to be in a medical college and what are the perks that one enjoys?

With the number of aspirants increasing every year and with a large number of new institutions being set up, these questions now arise more than ever. You have to crack NEET to enter a medical college. Although it might take you a few years to become a doctor, you get to have a taste of a doctor’s life during the time you spend in college itself.

Learning

You get to learn a lot about the human body's basic functioning and diseases and ailments and most importantly how to treat them. Knowing about the human body is an asset in this world. You get to learn about basic things and how they were applied in real life in ways you didn't know. And one of the most important things, this knowledge can prove to be of good use when a loved one requires help or is in emergency situations warranting immediate attention.

Interaction

In medical college, you get to interact with undergraduates (your batchmates, juniors, seniors), postgraduates, and professors. These people are or are going to be doctors. You get to learn from and discuss with the best minds. Another type of interaction you have is with patients. You get to interact with persons from different backgrounds, with different statuses coming to the hospital and you get to understand the diversity and get to stand in their shoes and see life with their perspectives. It broadens your thinking making you receptive to the myriads of possibilities.

Connections

As already mentioned you get to interact with already or soon to be world-class doctors, you are connected to them for a lifetime. The best thing about it is you get to be connected with top-notch doctors in every branch who are there with their expert advice whenever it is required. You get to connect with doctors almost everywhere which is a blessing in itself.

Administration

Being at a medical college teach you how things are dealt with in the government sector, how the administration is run, and how such a huge population in a country like ours is treated in government setups. When someone is a part of an institution it is undeniable that he/she will get an insight into the system.

Satisfaction

It is one such profession that gives you satisfaction more than what probably any other profession or work provides. Money is definitely a big plus but the satisfaction that you get from treating patients is invaluable. When you treat a person from a disease or an infirmity and when that patient visits your hospital, not for his upcoming visit but just to thank you with joined hands and shining eyes, it gives an added meaning to your life.

Money

Although it takes time to reach a high tier but when you do reach there, as demand for your expertise increases, it brings in more money. Your time investment in studying and earning those degrees finally gets paid off.
